Meet Dr. Moriah Lorge
Founder, Veterinarian, Animal Advocate

Dr. Moriah Lorge was born and raised in the Tennessee Valley and always knew she wanted to serve the community that shaped her. After graduating magna cum laude from Mississippi State University with a B.S. in Animal and Dairy Sciences, she went on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine with honors from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine.

Her early years in veterinary medicine included both mixed animal general practice and emergency medicine — two very different worlds that gave her a well-rounded foundation in diagnostics, patient care, and communication. Inspired to offer something unique, she launched Lorge Veterinary Services to blend the best of both specialties in a mobile, community-based model.

Dr. Lorge prides herself on being accessible to her clients. When you call or message, you’re talking directly to her. She follows up promptly, listens closely, and treats each animal like it’s her own.

Outside of work, Dr. Lorge is an outdoor enthusiast with a goal to visit every U.S. National Park. She shares her life with a lively pack that includes three dogs, two cats, and four horses.

Animal care rooted in compassion, mobility, and community

Lorge Veterinary Services was founded to make high-quality veterinary care more accessible for animals and the people who love them. Based in Athens, Alabama, we serve our neighbors in Limestone County, Madison County, and some areas of Morgan County, Lawrence County, and Lauderdale County in Alabama, as well as those in Southern Tennessee. From barns to backyards, Dr. Moriah Lorge brings expert care to animals where they feel most at ease.

Unlike traditional veterinary clinics, we offer 100% mobile services for large and small farm animals and limited services for domestic pets, as well as compassionate end-of-life care. Whether your cow needs a lameness evaluation, your dog is due for vaccines, or your goat needs routine preventative care, we come to you with all the knowledge and tools to do the job right.

We know how hard it is to find mobile veterinary care these days. That’s why we’re proud to be one of the few remaining practices that brings affordable, trustworthy service straight to your doorstep.
